This is for all Automotive, Collision, L/M/H Duty Diesel Truck, and Aviation Programs. Annual update of the Transportation 2026-27 Program of studies, Career Pathways, and Valid Industry Certifications.

This session will cover all things ASE; program accreditation changes and updates, standards updates, certifications, and much more.

This is a session with open discussion for all transportation-based programs to discuss trends, share ideas, emerging technologies, etc.

As the electric vehicle (EV) industry rapidly evolves, Kentuckys automotive instructors are on the frontlines preparing a future-ready workforce. Yet for many under-resourced high schools, area technology centers, and community colleges, launching EV instruction feels financially out of reach. This session introduces a low-cost, high-impact EV curriculum model funded by the National Science Foundations Advanced Technological Education (NSF ATE) program. Designed with input from high school educators, regional employers, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), and technical faculty, this initiative will equip instructors with the tools, knowledge, and support to bring EV fundamentals into existing automotive pathwayswithout requiring new degrees or expensive equipment.Participants will learn how the project is building a sustainable train-the-trainer network across Kentucky, creating accessible professional development, and adapting content for different teaching environments and equipment. Whether youre a CTE teacher in a rural high school or a community college faculty member exploring industry-aligned EV modules, this session offers practical strategies and partnership opportunities. This session is based on actual input from teachers who have participated in our annual Teachers Institute at Sullivan University. Their greatest challenge was to generate ideas for demonstrations and hands-on activities that could be performed within a short period of time. Attendees will walk away with demo recipes, ideas and resources to improve the student experience.
