Grounded in national best-practice standards, participants will learn how to facilitate the full simulation cycle—prebriefing, execution, and debriefing—to build student clinical judgment and confidence. The presentation provides practical, low-cost strategies and structured assessment tools tailored for pathways like CNA, pre-nursing, and EMS. Ultimately, attendees will leave with ready-to-use resources to align psychologically safe simulations with course outcomes, regardless of their budget or setting.
This presentation will focus on the importance of mental well-being and provide an overview of anxiety and depression. Participants will learn to recognize common signs and symptoms, understand how these conditions affect daily life, and explore practical strategies for maintaining mental health. Attendees will receive 1.0 CE hours for nursing.
Patient Care Technician (PCT) programs are essential components of Health Science education, addressing a projected 17% employment growth (2019–2029) and preparing students for hands-on clinical roles; this session gives CTE directors and instructors a practical, one-paragraph roadmap to design, implement, and sustain high-quality PCT programs by covering curriculum development, program approval, instructor qualifications, clinical partnerships, and certification alignment.
