Program Director, Veterinary Technology, Carrie Long has dedicated herself for over 20 years to the veterinary field, building her career from the ground up with a passion for animal care and education. She began as a Kennel Assistant before advancing to Veterinary Assistant and later earning her license as a Veterinary Technician. A graduate of Morehead State University, Carrie has gained diverse experience across the profession, including work in auction barns, vaccine clinics, emergency and internal medicine, shelters, oncology, and general practice. She excelled as a lead technician and practice manager before stepping into her current role as Program Director of a Veterinary Technology program. Carrie’s broad background allows her to guide students with real-world insight, helping them prepare for successful careers. Her leadership is rooted in both compassion and experience, inspiring the next generation of veterinary professionals to thrive in this rewarding field.
