2026 KACTE Summer Program has ended
Tuesday July 21, 2026 1:00pm - 2:30pm EDT
This session will focus on how CTE teachers can use assistive technology, adaptive tools, and AI-based instructional resources to better support students with disabilities and other special populations in CTE classrooms, labs, and career pathways. It will include practical examples of the tools and resources that will be offered through the project, including AI notetaking devices, teacher resource materials, professional development, and follow-up classroom support. Participants will learn how these tools can support instruction, improve student engagement, reduce barriers for students with disabilities, and help increase credential attainment among special education and at-risk student populations. In addition, we will share how Murray State University faculty will provide continued support beyond the initial KACTE session through regional visits, virtual meetings, teacher feedback, implementation support, and resource sharing. The goal of the presentation is to introduce the project, explain what teachers will receive, and show how the grant can help strengthen inclusive CTE opportunities across Kentucky.
