2026 KACTE Summer Program has ended

This session will focus on the vital role of Medical Assistants in healthcare, supported by a projected 19% employment growth according to the U.S. Department of Labor. We will walk attendees through the essential steps for establishing a successful CTE Medical Assistant program, including course development, program approval, instructor qualifications, clinical partnerships, and certification alignment. Julie Frye, MA Instructor at Nelson County Area Technology Center, will share her expertise and best practices for building a thriving MA program. By the end, participants will be equipped to lead successful Medical Assistant programs that open doors to rewarding healthcare careers for students.
